Please help the Al Sheikh family leave Gaza
Canada
Hello from stricken Gaza to the people of the world and those with compassionate hearts.
My name is Watteen Al-Sheikh, I study medical sciences at Al-Aqsa University. My family and I represent one peaceful family (Jamil Al-Sheikh, 50 years old, Nafouz Al-Sheikh, 48 years old, Salah Al-Sheikh, 16 years old, Sidra Al-Sheikh, 5 years old, Yazan Al-Sheikh, 12 years old, Ahmed Al-Sheikh, 19 years old , Watteen Al_Sheikh 23 years) living in the Beit Lahia area in the Gaza Strip.
Before the war, we were a happy family, although we lived in constant anxiety about unemployment and the difficulty of living. When the war on Gaza began on October 7, 2023, my relatives and uncles took refuge in our house, thinking it was a safe house. Five days after their displacement to us, the occupation carried out brutal and violent bombardment on the neighborhood in which we live.
On the morning of Friday, October 13, 2023, the Zionist occupation called us and asked us to escape, completely evacuate the house and all the buildings in the neighborhood, and head to the south of the Gaza Strip.
It was very terrifying and we did not know where we were going. We had to evacuate. I had to flee with my family to a safe area, leaving behind my neighborhood, my house, my shops, my work, my studies, my university, my memories, and literally everything.
We sought refuge with our relatives in the Nuseirat camp in the central Gaza Strip, and 12 days after we were displaced, on October 25, 2023, the occupation bombed the bakery opposite the house in which we were displaced.
My brother suffered minor burns to his face, and the house was partially destroyed, but it is the only shelter we have, so we restored what we could to live in the house as much as possible.
On November 4, 2023, warplanes targeted the bakery after it was destroyed again. Praise be to God, none of us were harmed, and nothing happened here. We were able to restore, but we cleaned and sat down because there was no other place, and on Wednesday morning,
January 3, 2024, the occupation made a sudden ground entry into the camp, and here we were surrounded and could not leave the house, and there was no water, food, or any other necessities for life. We just sat and heard the sounds of shelling, bullets and missiles. We are waiting for our turn to come.
Until the morning of Sunday, January 7, 2024, we were miraculously able to leave the neighborhood under bombardment and take refuge in the city of Rafah.
I did not have any relatives there, so we went to live in refugee tents and refugee camps under difficult conditions for me and my family, as with the large number of people in these camps, some of my family members were infected with skin and chest diseases, and some of them were infected with hepatitis as a result of contaminated water and unhealthy food, and the worst thing about it was also that Winter and extreme cold at night.
We left our homes in the summer, and winter came upon us. We were displaced and did not have winter clothes.
I cannot describe the situation adequately; I think you’ve seen enough on the Internet. I lost my home, my shops, my family’s source of income, and I was left with nothing. I have lost many friends over the past four months.
However, I feel nothing but complete helplessness and inability to help my family. The feeling of helplessness is humiliating and painful, as negative thoughts dominate your thoughts, such as thinking about suicide or wishing for death to escape this feeling.
But here I am breathing again and thinking of positive solutions in the face of crushing death. I’m trying to cling to life.
I hope you will read the story from my perspective, from the perspective of a 22-year-old young man trying to save what is left of his family and himself. In the end, I wish eternal peace to prevail in this world, and for every being on this earth.
Your donations will help me and my family leave Gaza, complete education, and start building my future again. We need to pay at least 70 thousand Canadian dollars to exit Gaza through Egypt. Every donation makes a difference.
Your friend,
Watteen Al-Sheikh
I am a citizen of Gaza.
Believe me, I never imagined one day I’d go on TikTok, Instagram, or anywhere else to talk about my situation or ask for help.
But the difficult circumstances forced me.
There’s no more room for silence. It’s time for me to speak up, share my pain, and try to find a glimmer of hope in your kind hearts.
Guys, we’re going through a very difficult time, from bombing to hunger to fear and terror…
I swear we’re out of energy.
At 8:00 a.m., I woke up thinking: What can I do?
There’s no answer.
What can I have for breakfast?
There is nothing.
What can I offer myself?
There is nothing.
No school, no work, no food… Not even safety.
I didn’t make this video for nothing.
I made it to ask for your support.
If you can’t donate, share the video.

All respect to you.
Hello my friends ✌
God willing, you are doing well. I made this video because I need your prayers. Because next week, God willing, I have exams for university.
Unfortunately, I can’t study much during the day, because I am busy taking care of my own affairs, getting water, eating and taking care of my family.
I have a lot of studying. A lot, frankly. And I made this video because I want you to pray for me.
I intend to start studying, God willing. The night will come soon, I will try to make a light. So I will see what I can do to help me study. I wasn’t studying at night because there is no light.
I would like to share my experience with you, and God willing you will support me and prayer for me.
Watteen was sick with food poisoning and had to be hospitalized. He is doing much better but he still needs your help
